Volunteers are the heart of our school community. Whether you can give an hour or a day, your involvement helps create a better learning environment for our students. We’re always in need of helping hands throughout the year, and there are countless ways to connect and make an impact.

Room Parent
Support your child's teacher, coordinate class activities, and keep parents informed. Assist with classroom needs, communicate important updates, and organize parent volunteers. It's a rewarding way to be involved and build community. Enrollment details will be provided by the room teacher during Back to School Night, or you can sign up using the button bellow.

Room Volunteer
This is a fantastic chance for parents who want to be more involved in their child's classroom experience. There are many ways to volunteer throughout the year, such as helping with holiday celebrations like Halloween and Christmas, assisting with end-of-year parties, chaperoning field trips, or gathering photos for the yearbook. Additional opportunities may arise based on specific classroom needs. The room parent will keep you informed about available volunteer roles as the year progresses. Involvement on demand.

Fun Run Fundraise
We’re looking for enthusiastic parent volunteers to help with our Fun Run, an exciting annual fundraising event where students run laps to support our school. Your role will include helping with planning and coordination before the event, setting up and cleaning up on the day, and providing on-site support during the run. It’s a great way to get involved and support our school community while having fun with the kids!

Fall Harvest Mingle
We’re excited to celebrate harvest festivals from around the world, and we need your help! Volunteers will assist with planning, prepping, and cleaning for this vibrant school community event. Join us in making this celebration special with delicious food, lively music, and fun arts and crafts. Your support will ensure a memorable experience for everyone. Spring Mingle
The Spring Mingle Volunteer will assist with planning, preparation, and on-the-day support for our community celebration of spring festivals from around the world. Responsibilities include helping to organize activities, setting up decorations, preparing materials, and assisting with food stalls, arts and crafts, and attendee guidance during the event. Volunteers will also help with post-event clean-up and take-down. Date TBD, May 2025

Book Fair
Be part of our Book Fair team! Help with organizing, setting up, and running the event. We welcome all volunteers with a few hours to spare before and on the event day. Mustang Round up
As a Mustang Round Up volunteer, you'll contribute to the success of our annual end-of-year gathering by taking on various tasks. Depending on your role, you might help with planning, preparation, set-up, and clean-up. Volunteers will also assist with kids' activities, food arrangements, music, and other program elements. Each volunteer's efforts are crucial in making this event memorable, especially with our traditional cake auction, and in bringing the community together for this special celebration.

Our Wade Thomas School Garden program thrives thanks to the dedication of our volunteers. As a garden volunteer, you'll help maintain and enhance our garden, engaging with students through fun projects and activities. Your role involves weeding, working on various beautification projects around the school, and contributing to a vibrant, welcoming campus for everyone. Spring Campus Beautification Day is an annual event where we come together to beautify our school grounds. As a parent volunteer, you’ll have the chance to get involved in various tasks such as painting, gardening, and general repairs. Yard Duty
As a parent volunteer for yard duty, you'll help supervise students during lunch breaks. There's no need to register in advance—just come to the school around lunchtime, sign up at the office, grab a volunteer vest and medical kit, and you're ready to assist. Your support is greatly appreciated and you can help out as often as you'd like.

Safe Routes to School
We're looking for parent volunteers to support our Safe Routes to School program. Volunteers will assist with the monthly Walk and Roll prize table and join us for safety task force meetings held three times a year. Liaise with the DEIB task force members at Wade Thomas to coordinate, support and encourage awareness and celebration of diversity in your classrooms, through the class parties, classroom cultural celebrations, and diverse and inclusive gatherings and initiatives.

Field Trip Driver
Throughout the school year, there will be various opportunities to volunteer as a field trip driver. Whether it's a trip to a museum, park, or another exciting destination.
